Mhariel Pastrana, a Design Engineer at J.L. Clark and member of the Illinois Army National Guard, was recently activated to help expedite broader distribution of Covid-19 vaccines in Winnebago County. As a First Lieutenant in the National Guard, Pastrana has received training in leadership, planning and teamwork. She’s now tasked with deploying those skills in managing a team of 11 soldiers who are working alongside Winnebago County Health Department staff to help maximize the County’s capacity to deliver Covid-19 vaccinations. Pastrana’s current active-duty assignment extends through June 8^th.
