J.L. Clark Employee And Illinois Army National Guard Member Activated To Help Immunize Winnebago Country Residents Against Covid-19

Mhariel Pastrana, a Design Engineer at J.L. Clark and member of the Illinois Army National Guard, was recently activated to help expedite broader distribution of Covid-19 vaccines in Winnebago County. As a First Lieutenant in the National Guard, Pastrana has received training in leadership, planning and teamwork. She’s now tasked with deploying those skills in managing a team of 11 soldiers who are working alongside Winnebago County Health Department staff to help maximize the County’s capacity to deliver Covid-19 vaccinations. Pastrana’s current active-duty assignment extends through June 8th.

According to Pastrana, “I’m very excited to be able to put my National Guard training into practice to help my community. It’s rewarding work, to know that we’re helping the Winnebago County Health Department to vaccinate as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.”
