J.L. Clark Donates 50+ Cases of Diapers & Personal Care Items to Rockford Rescue Mission

May 3rd, 2017

J.L. Clark employees raised funds throughout January and February to support Rockford Rescue Mission. Monies raised were used to purchase essentials including diapers, clothing, and miscellaneous personal care items.

The Company’s Community Projects Team is charged with selecting an organization to support and with leading internal fundraising efforts. One longstanding fundraising initiative allows employees to contribute $2 per week for the opportunity to participate in Casual Day on Fridays. Depending on the specific fundraising goal, additional funds are often raised through a company-wide raffle.

According to Mary Beaver, Leader of the Community Projects Team, “Family and community are important elements of the culture here, so it just makes sense that we do our part to give back to the community that has supported J.L. Clark for over 100 years. Thanks to the generosity of all the employees here, we were able to make a pretty good size donation to the Rockford Rescue Mission. They are a mainstay in the community in terms of servicing the homeless population and helping people build a better life for themselves and their families, and we’re proud to support those efforts.”
